Why blog?

One of the reasons is this: you may have a wonderful family, an intelligent, beautiful spouse, loving friends and an interesting job, but you probably don’t know many people who share your specific craze about stamps, books, cats, Ancient Greek, Chinese military strategy, African linguistics, epistemology, science, or anything else you find valuable but those around you don’t.

So, instead of having 50 people around you 0.001% of whom share your interests (which means none shares your interests), you may reach out for millions of people, 0.001% of whom represent thousands of interested companions who can’t think of anything else besides stamps, books, cats, Ancient Greek, Chinese military strategy, African linguistics, epistemology, science…

But, please, don’t lose your common touch… Those 50 people around you (family, friends, coworker…) are much more important than those 0.001% of geeks. Geek away on your spare time, but live your life!
